  i recently received the following email.

  i don't know whether to laugh or feel sorry for the sender.

  it looks like i'm not the first person on this board to receive this email (see http://www.jehovahs-witness.com/12/166981/1.ashx).

  This is a variation of a long running rumour that jws have circulated for a long time.
  
  In the version I heard, some JWs on a cruise were eating dinner at a table with somebody who was a higher up at the U.N, but the JWs didn't know it. They began to 'witness' to the person, eventually telling them about what the U.N. would do to religion at the buildup to Armageddon. The U.N. official then replied, "I work for the U.N., how were you able to know everything we are going to do?".
  
  The story breaches all levels of rationality. If you know anything about the U.N. you would know that it is a strongly bureaucratic organization with TONS of infighting. The idea that there could be some unified goal (hidden from the public) to destroy religion is absurd. If you are an uneducated, ignorant fool who wants to believe the story of the world as told by the Watchtower then stories like these go right up your alley.

  Ray doesn't have to explain a darn thing, the record is there. Here are some things people have told me Ray Franz is (active witnesses):
  
  - A Liar
  
  - A Homosexual
  
  - Arrogent
  
  - deceitful
  
  Mostly all said by people who have never met the man, or read his books. In order to prove such things, you better fork over an supposed inconsistency found between a published book and an internet page made by somebody who themselves says there is no inconsistency.

  i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.

  he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

  They "Keep Following the Lamb" - February Study Article (Praise for the GB)

  the article is not yet in print, however on jw.org you will find the audio recording for the february 15, 2009 study edition.. this article sums up some of the talks given over the past year or so.

  it makes clear that we should trust the faithful and discreet slave because jehovah and jesus trust the "slave".

  the slave has been faithfully providing spiritual food for 130 years.

  a good while back i purchased some space on a web server, hoping to develop out an ex-jw website of sorts.

  that didn't really pan out as planned, but i still have the server space and decided to do something with it.

  I just hope the Witchtower babble and Trash Society doesn't make threats and shut it down, like they did the Quotes Website.

  I really believe that they were mainly after quotes because of the Watchtower.ca domain name and not necessarily the content. We'll see how things go.

  Just so you all know, I only have about 10-15% of my documents up for download at this time. I'll be getting more and more up as I find time. Getting them cataloged in the system takes a while.
